What Are The MLM Basics For Online Marketing - Tip 3

Here is the third tip of the series on the MLM basics for marketing online.  Today we are talking about YOU, Inc!  Because when you come online to market your MLM business, you don’t actually market your business, you market YOU. We do not use the old fashioned methods of marketing online that you are taught offline; instead we use Attraction Marketing.  Mike Dillard has written a very good book explaining about Attraction Marketing, called Magnetic Sponsoring, which you really need to read if you want to market online.  Mike will explain to you the whole concept of Attraction Marketing, so you can understand how to position yourself.

The very basic thing which you should do in order to market your MLM online is to develop your own brand.  People on the social media sites will soon get fed up of listening to you pitching your business to them if you do not learn this. People hate being sold to, but they love to buy.  They prefer to make up their own mind.

In order to create your own brand, you first need to let go of whatever you have been taught in MLM offline!  This may go against everything you know because it is much simpler to have the spotlight on your products. But everyone who markets online, whatever their sex or age is marketing this way, so you will soon feel more comfortable.  People will only buy from people whom they like and feel comfortable with.  For this reason you need to connect with people and be seen on social media sites.

The best way to connect with people is to offer value. Instead of offering them your opportunity, you should offer them help. Try to always give value. What you can offer them, is information.  Each time that you learn something online about marketing your business, share it with everyone.  This starts to brand you as a leader or a trainer. Also, if you write an article or do a video on the subject, you are going over the subject again, which helps you to remember it.

You also need to consider your brand when you buy domain names for your websites. Your main website or capture page is usually something with MLM in it, and is your brand, like mine is PrimeMLMTraffic.  Obviously it depends what is available and what you like the sound of.

Most people use their own name for their blog.  This is fine if you have an unusual name, but if your name is more popular, it may not be available.  In this case you would add something to it, such as WhoIs….. or WorkWith….  You need to get your name out there as much as possible, so think about every site (such as Facebook or Twitter) you join and try to incorporate your name in your site name.

All this will help you to begin branding, ‘YOU INC’!
